Firstly I would assume that those moaning that this was simply pc didn't watch as far as episode one. This episode was bleak, and harsh, with some language you'd expect from the time.
I thought from the very first that Dunkirk was going to be the focal point of this series, and it was, the scenes were incredible. The special effects defied it being a small screen production.
Blake Harrison was terrific in this, he was charismatic and funny, adding some needed humour into this bleak episode. Fabulous acting all round.
