The invasion starts as soon as credits roll, them we see John gettin out of bed only to see the forces of the plunderers on parachutes (great homage here to Red Dawn).
They did a good job of keeping the story moving forward without getting boring at times.
All in all it was an enjoyable film for what it is, and even though it had its far fetched moments like John clearing the stairs of his bulding and killing 20 soldiers, just like Rambo on last blood, there is also a good balance between action and dialogue, with a few humorous scenes.
And it also leaves room for a sequel.
