The setup is interesting, even if full of cliches. But the characters and interactions are just too bloody stupid to watch.
Just one example: The titular cannon takes over 60 seconds to fire a single shot.. Wow, how advanced and dangerous. But oddly enough villains always wait around for the minute it takes until our good guy shoots the now completely passive and non threatening "villain".
And then we have the deus ex automobile, convinient amnesia, and routine plot convinient extra layers of stupidity when needed.
