Review of Mayday

Mayday (II) (2019)
10/10
Destined for Cult status because of it's overt Incompetency.

This had the feeling of a project that might have been produced by a bunch of friends who wanted to get together and make a movie. It appeared as if they had scouted the local college drama dept. And community theater groups for talent. Then needed a big name for star power and got that in Michael Pare from the cult classic Eddie and the Cruisers. At first Michael seemed to take the project seriously as reflected in his performance but when the film got to a certain point, it's as if he realized he was trapped in this awful film and his performance goes in every direction. My friends and I immediately started to laugh after getting a few minutes into the film and realizing that every single actors performance was abysmal. We continued to laugh all the way through to the end of the movie. It was delightfully brilliant in it's amateurism. Completely hilarious! So bad I actually believe it might aquire a cult following. I Loved It!!!
