Not only is this one of the funniest episodes of the show it very much allows the show to have its cake and eat it too. The initial main idea of the series was a couple of guys investigating urban legends; three classic urban legends get their due without breaking the mythos (too much). Shiban rings out every single story beat/idea you would want from this premise and it is just existentially pleasing to see the Dean from Sam's perspective, and vice versa. The trickster is character that ends up having a tone of classic material and this is simply a wonderful introduction to the character. This is a highpoint of season 2.
