Review of Mod Squad

Mod Squad (1968–1973)
6/10
One white, one black, one blond
30 July 2019
A lack of respect for authority among the younger generartion is of concern to police captain Tige Andrews. He wants to be able to tap into the happenings of the young people. And regular younger police of the Joe Friday Dragnet stripe just isn't cutting it.

So Andrews carefully selects three who are not police types at all and recruits them to be eyes and ears among the youth. As the opening of Mod Squad said one white, one black, one blond. In said order were Michael Cole, Clarence Williams,III and Peggy Lipton. Special undercover operatives.

The Mod Squad ran for five seasons and was popular. As 60s stylings and mores went into the 70s the show's popularity waned and it was cancelled. We never did see, Pete, Linc, and Julie do disco. They also were really starting to age out as teens.

For those nostalgic for the 60s hopefully you can get a set of DVDs or find Mod Squad on a nostalgia channel.
