The 70's tint, the invasive scenes, the thinly veiled christian message, the cliché voiceover - it all portrays Aslaug Holms reminiscing personality, not her children's. The fact that this movie won an award is incredible. Yet more incredible is the extremely intrusive scenes where one wonder how much of the film is twisted to fit Holm's narrative, her personal memories, and her faith. And you also wonder: are her children really able to object to this deeply personal project, after eight years of intrusive filming?
