The show opens with Doink the Clown versus Mr. Perfect in a King of the Ring qualifying match. This match takes up three segments and is easily the best match on the show. Gene Okerlund gives his King of the Ring Report which features a promo by Hulk Hogan which was the Hulkster's only appearance on Raw in between winning the title at Wrestlemania and defending it at King of the Ring. Money Inc. gets no competition from Mike Bell and Tony Devito. Crush squashes Bobby Who. Vince McMahon interviews Razor Ramon about his loss to the Kid last week. Adam Bomb (Bryan Clark) with his manager Johnny Polo (Raven) manhandles Phil Apollo.
