The short documentary 'Forest Man' is a unique and inspiring true story about a man named Jadav Payeng. Jadav single handedly plants a forest in the middle of a barren wasteland. Since 1917, the once green island of Majuli, in India, has been eroded away. Majuli lost more than half of its surface. More and more green surface was eroded away. That is until 1979.

Jadav has been planting since 1979 and his forest is now bigger than Central Park, in America.

What I liked most about the documentary was how the director portrayed the fact that people still care about the world and its inhabitants.

What I was disappointed with is the lack of subtitles. There were few subtitles, so it made it difficult to listen to what they were saying.

I give this documentary 6 out of 10 stars. Although it is not very clear to know what they are saying, it is an inspiring true story.
