Down to Earth and True to Life
24 June 2019
Heartfelt and realistic portrayal of a coach, his players and their families dealing with the challenges in their lives. This film has a Christian bent to it, but is not simplistic in its messaging, it's relatable to the struggles of the main characters and rings true for the audience.

The young people on the team were down to earth emotional teenagers, not caricatures in any way, and were all very relatable. I think often times films dealing with similar themes tend to portray kids as one note, but that wasn't the case in this film, there was a lot of restraint by the filmmakers which allowed the drama to unfold in a natural and unforced manner.

Production value, cinematography and a pretty hip contemporary score kept the movie moving along with plenty of unforeseen twists along the road.
