As a person who went to high school in West Amman, this is a pretty accurate representation of how my high school experience was but obviously more dramatized for TV.
I can tell you all these reviews are from more conservative Jordanians who did not have a similar experience and have NOT even seen the show, if you refer to Jordanian twitter and Facebook, you'll see a large amount of these negative comments are from people who did not know what Netflix is and most definitely don't have a Netflix subscription. They merely got on the bandwagon of hate because they are not accustomed to seeing something as simple as a Jordanian girl have a kiss (let alone an onscreen one)
Don't let fake reviews stop you from seeing this show. It doesn't deserve the 10 I gave it and I would honestly give it a 7, but it also doesn't deserve the 4/10 rating it has.
Give it a chance, it has gorgeous cinematography, good sound mixing and is a fun watch. Help Jordan normalize telling stories through film and tv, it is SO important.
