My Search For Answers That Don't Want To Be Found....Heck Yeah!

Mission Declassified is a series investigating a range of crimes and criminals - these living on past a normal shelf life due to the impact and unsolved nature of the cases and criminals involved. The show is hosted by Christof Putzel who, by birth, an investigative reporter having both parents and his grandfather as role models. Besides pedigree Putzel is a very affable and accessible host, even cute and cuddly according to some females (lol).

The show is getting off to a fine first season. Unlike so many shows with so little meat on the bone and empty promises to solving mysteries this show delivers more even when it just can not quite solve cases. In other words you'll usually learn some very interesting facts that may lead to a logical conclusion if not one that would stand up in a court of law. Yes, I like Putzel's style and his methods. I often thing while watching that this is what I'd do if I were in his position which is infinitely more satisfying than the endless questions and shaky proof of so many investigative mystery/treasure shows.

Travel Channel has a winner here. The first seasons topics seem to have been picked with great care and personal interest from an excellent host. The production never panders to those infinite add-on questions (think Oak Island, Hitler, and Zodiac Shows) and does present some very solid facts which are downright interesting. As such, I highly recommend this show and hope as topics expand, possibly into some the host ins't as intrigued by, that the show can keep the zeitgeist it certainly seems to have in this first season.
