What an annoying director this person is! Having emotionally invested an hour and a half in the dilemma faced by Isabelle the protagonist, we are left hanging as to whether or not the nasty little hood killed her or not. People can put up with a good ending or a bad ending, but some sort of actual ending is what we really like. I searched the net to find out what happened to the girl this story was based on, but to no avail. Apart from the film's non-resolution, I thought everything else was excellent. All of the characters turn out convincing performances and I loved the changing views of Sam Paulo. I thought Isabelle made a lot of mistakes, eg when the Bope men came into the cafe, why not tell them she was being held by bandits? Sure, there would have been a shoot-out, but the Bope men were all wearing bullet-proof vests and would have made short work of the hoods. Opting to take them to her house, thereby putting her parents at risk was another big mistake and one I am sure the real Isabelle regrets to this day, if she is alive, which of course the ever so annoying director has concealed from us. Probably forever.
