Just A Poor Episode

Warning: Spoilers
"The Flash" had some pretty good episodes lately, the Godspeed episode was certainly flawed, but definitely entertaining, Snow Pack was another alright episode with some problems but once again, entertaining. This episode, "Gone Rogue", not so much. The episode could've been great, having Nora become evil and go against Barry and the rest of Team Flash could've been a compelling battle. However, it seemed to all be a rouse. Which is a damn shame because it felt like the episodes leading to this one felt a bit pointless. Another small problem with this episode is that it's located as the twentieth episode of the season, and with this season being twenty three episodes long, I have absolutely no idea what they're doing.

Season 4 is much worse than this season, at least for me and most other people in general, but it did have an endgame, with the thinker conflict. This season has a much less compelling villain (which is hilarious, because the thinker wasn't good to begin with). Cicada is still out there, even though she is barely referenced in this episode, until the very end where she gets some screen time, with her "alive" father? That is interesting, I guess, but not so much so that I'd actively been telling people that I cannot wait for the next episode.

I've never been this unenthusiastic about this show before, but genuinely, I do not care if it gets a seventh season or not, because it doesn't really deserve it anymore. This episode, bringing back, arguably, the show's worst villains as a group just truly sucked and was a less than exciting aspect.

I feel generous giving this one a 3, but I did love Cisco in this episode and some of the scenes with Ralph were good. Barry trusting Eobard Thawne might just be the literal dumbest thing ever written into a TV show... ever.
