Warning: Spoilers
Of course, there's stock footage as well as newly shot footage on their studio closet sized lot, giving the opportunity to show the film's comic relief being strangled by a giant boa constrictor. the rugged Buster Crabbe stars as a scientist searching for a cure for a rare tropical disease who must venture out into the Wilderness to find ingredients needed to complete his cure. He encounters friendly local tribes, possibly deadly headhunting tribes, and a determined American woman (Sheila Darcy) who seeks to prove that Africa is a place for a woman.

Crabbe's destination is a mysterious lost city, an exotic-looking place that could be Africa's version of Shangri-La. Vince Barnett is the obligatory comic relief, rather ridiculously so, more annoying than endearing, wow Charles Middleton, one of Crabbe's former film nemesis, becomes nice as Darcy's uncle. Wildey stock footage of various animals can be entertaining, it obviously does not look like it belongs with the rest of the film. There are many static moments where the characters simply just walk through without words of dialogue or music. It's an enjoyable time filler, but oh so formulaic, and thus quickly forgettable.
