A fine portrait of a time of great turmoil in race relations in Australia
15 April 2019
This is a beautifully told and gently paced story of two teenage boys growing up in the Western Australian wheat belt at the time government policy gave Aboriginal farm workers equal pay. Focusing on the relationship between the sons of the white farmer and Aboriginal foreman, the movie hints at the troubles this policy creates for both. True to all teenage boys, not much is said, yet the story is told elegantly as we watch events unfold.
