This doc would've been better if they focussed on how the stepdaughter took vigilante justice into her own hands.
John was a big loser. Manipulating these women, steeling drugs, doing what opiate addicts do.
The experts were pretty lame: The psychiatrist saying he had traits of a psychopath....cool, but again, most addicts do.
The dude who says there were other women that had been similarly used by John...cool, I'm sure there were a couple others. But he seems to have sponged off each one as long as he could, using their money to buy drugs and play video games all day. Guess what? That's what addicts do.
Seems pretty obvious that the step daughter (who had put tracking devices on John's car) took a big knife and went out to kill her evil stepdad. Don't get me wrong - I think the world is a better place without him. But if he had really set out to kidnap her (which he had never done before - he wanted to shoot up, not kidnap people) she'd likely be the one who ended up on life support. Or at least a lot worse off than she was.
