It was pretty haunting to see all the characters possessed by King Sombra. This is a situation where you really want to know what's going to happen. I admit the ending does seem like a cop-out. It can be predictable. It features Discord getting injured by King Sombra with him telling the Mane 6 they can defeat him without the elements.
Basically, the lesson is that they had the magic in them all the time! Typical, but it's still a great episode. We all knew Discord was faking. It looks like Twilight and her friends won't be replacing Celestia and Luna at the moment. Well, it's the last season. They can do whatever they want. ****
