you will cry when watching this film

This film probably effected me more than any other film has. I actually cant think of any other film that goes into such detail about cancer as this film. I mean it would have to well thought out for it to be successful without depressing everyone, which this film does. The story grips you, or gripped me, because i had never heard of a child being put on the earth to be used as a source to help a cancer victim live their lives. I the story suggests that if the girl with cancer had anything wrong with her, her sister was immediately used, as donor in a sense, to help her sibling fight her cancer. For example the straw that broke the camels back was when they asked for Anna if she could donate a kidney to kate. However, Anna probably did want to be in charge of her own body, who would want to be careful all their life? but ,Kate wanted to be cancer free and that is why Anna took legal action to say she matter too and didn't want to "Do it anymore" in her words. They highlighted the pain that Anna also went through when giving parts of her body to Kate. Yes Kate suffered a huge amount, but Anna also suffered. The mother who Cameron Diaz plays is only thinking about her feelings, and how she could not cope if she lost Kate, but is not thinking about the bigger picture. You have sympathy for the mother because having a child with cancer must be horrendous, but however, you do feel she is being selfish by using her other child as a donor for her child with cancer and is not thinking of her feelings. So there is conflicted feeling in the film. Ok, so if you get upset easily prepare yourself because you are very likely to cry, but you should watch it, its very touching.
