A miller, a village, a superficial sketch of love story, the conflict between villagers and strangers, something from Guy de Maupassant short stories and almost nothing more. It is obvious, it do not represents a great film. Only a nice one, for a precise target, maybe, seductive for high predictibility and for the performances. So, a miller and a village, in sauce of absurde.
