No wonder this show has lasted so long. It's brilliant. The characters are fully developed. The cases have complexities and surprises that are so creative. We wait the whole two hours for them to find a boy who has disappeared, probably badly abused. We have paraded before us citizens who let their emotions and judgments run rampant. Nikki has a connection and is conflicted the whole way. The expert on child abuse is himself quite abusive, jumping to conclusions and causing others to do so--at least providing ammunition for them. For me, this may be the best of the episodes thus far.
