Buttons is a beautiful, historically accurate film created by a sensitive director and producer with a top notch star-studded cast skillfully blended with delightful new child stars poised for success. Its a sensitive, well spun story of how light and kindness outshines darkness. Its has charming characters, beautiful music and interesting scenery with several wonderful voices in song. While an evil adversary conversely reveals that joy seemingly cannot abide in frozen hearts.
Buttons is also a reminder, that prayers born of need and compassion are always answered but not always as one expects.
Most likely without intent, the film also symbolizes the need for both parents, wage earner or not, to be adequately insured to protect their offspring. The film might also inspire more adoptions. Buttons is one more "must see" light in an often troubled world. My family, friends and I give it no less than a 10.
