One of the user reviews said about Touch and Go is that it is not good unless you like Michael Keaton, María Conchita Alonso or hockey. Well I like Keaton and love María and hockey, so the movie really appeals to me. The movie is about Chicago hockey star Bobby Barbato ( Keaton) and his relationship with single mother Denise DeLeon ( Conchita Alonso) and her son Luis. Most people consider Touch And Go to be a romantic comedy where Boy meets girl, boy loses girl ( due to a conflict) and boy gets girl back, and one of them has a kid ( usually a boy for the woman or a girl for the man). But ( spoilers ahead) what makes this movie work is1: the abuse Denise suffers from a gang of punks and how Bobby learns to put hockey last and help Luis catch the punks who put Denise in the hospital. 2: Character growth for both Bobby and Denise. At the end he thinks about the future ( instead of hockey) and invests in a business for Denise ( who always sold herself short). I really loved this movie 10/10 stars.
