Concept, Humor, Execution
21 December 2018
Eric Paul Chapman's "Craig Quits His Day Job" is an endearing iteration of the lovable loser tale. The story concept? Craig quits his day job. It's exceedingly straightforward and its sentiment is universal, and yet the premise is rarely played out on the big screen, and never with the boldly eccentric humor found here.

Garrett Titlebaum was a wise choice to fill the role of Craig. Like the film itself, Titlebaum is offbeat as hell, and because he's his own deal, it's difficult to compare him to historical actors. When a strange band of misfit neighbors emerge and huddle around Craig like some eccentric vagabond family, even this is personally accessible, as it reflects how most of us form our post-school friends.

"Craig Quits His Day Job" is that familiar but slightly off-looking face in the mirror that we suddenly realize is indeed a true image of ourselves. Chapman prevails by reminding us that because we're different, we've got that much in common. - (Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)
