Review of Pari

Pari (I) (2018)
7/10
Hopelessly Romantic (Hardly) Horror
19 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
One djinn and his hopelessly romantic daughter, Anushka and Parambrata as lead pair so you might think what can stop it from being a revolutionary film. The answer is it's bad screenplay. Though the idea is very noble but the execution seems to be confusing. The film promises to be whole lot of things but misses it's each target by miles. The makers tries hard to make the film qualify for horror genre by putting forced jump scares and irrelevant scenes. And certain portions of the film could have easily been cut, keeping in mind the length of the film. Anushka's performance is commendable and Parambrata has done a decent job, though nothing in comparison to his past works.
