Narcos: Mexico: La Última Frontera (2018)
Season 1, Episode 6

Warning: Spoilers
This excellent episode contains good plot development for almost every character. Kiki's plan to lure Gallardo to the US where he can be arrested is well executed, and suspenseful to watch even though we doubt he will succeed this early in the season. Seeing Gallardo pull up to the US border is tense as we start to wonder how he will get out of this one. After he takes the phone call, he stands up, faces America and it feels like he can "see" his American enemies for the first time, even though he can't really see them. The failure is a powerful moment, and a turning point for Kiki.

Gallardo also faces high stakes back at home, with Falcon gone rogue. His words to Isabella about Gallardo's lies are memorable for how they are proven true shortly after he says them. It's a true show of Gallardo's way of casting people aside when they are no longer useful.

Gallardo's wife's investigation is the only part of this hour that I didn't like. It just wasn't interesting. I don't care if Gallardo has been sleeping with other women. Neither do I care about his wife's way of letting him know.
