This Review Only Pertains To The "Bravo Dooby Doo" Segment
31 October 2018
Every year, at Halloweentime, I watch two things: "Billy And Mandy's Jacked-Up Halloween" and "Bravo Dooby Doo". Both are episodes on the original "Cartoon Network Halloween: 9 Creepy Capers" DVD I've had since I was very young. I love both episodes, and think they're absolutely perfect in execution.

In "Bravo Dooby Doo", we have Johnny Bravo teaming-up with the Scooby-Doo Gang, pretty much filled with all of its original voice actors, and the blend is PERFECT! All of the personalities of the gang and Johnny either arguing or getting-along is so much fun to watch, and the excellent writing allows this to never get old, or grow unfunny. Again: I've been watching this every single year since I was a small boy, and I'm promising you it's not an opinion just based in nostalgia; the episode is timeless. Every kid-modern or old-timey-will love this, and I'm willing to bet that adults familiar with either cartoon (Scooby-Doo or Johnny Bravo) will absolutely enjoy this, without a doubt.

The animation style and smoothness is amazing.

The musical choice (especially with a song from the 70s or 60s playing, halfway through) is brilliantly used.

This is a haunted house Johnny Bravo episode, and the Scooby gang being involved just makes it feel so cozy, like we're seeing Scooby and the gang back from a long, long vacation. It almost feels like an episode from the original Scooby cartoon. It's amazing how Hannah Barbera could craft something like this, even after the original Scooby-Doo show hadn't been on-going in such a while.

Again: it's perfect. This episode could not be MORE perfect.

A nice high-five to these awesome creators for making something so timeless and special.
