What works here: Heart of Night has a great sound track melded into blue lighting and grim back grounds. A story of mystery, betrayal, and into the inner workings of Lieutenant Castillo! Great dialogue, mixed with an emotional ending. Miami Vice is great at showing the human element. Bits and pieces of humanity which twists and sours threw tragedy. Greed and sadism scars the characters, but some how Castillo remains balanced. What did not work: With out Crockett the series misses the the cynicism an sarcasm which provide comic relief to a dark show and topics. 7 out of 10 stars.
