It's not at all Comedy, it's just pure Drama. A particular role for Alberto Sordi, a great great actor of Comedy. Beautiful blonde Elga Andersen also has a special role here, different than in other movies. Lino Banfi as the director of the prison and Tano Cimarosa in the role of an obtuse and evil guard are both very good.
