I loved this story, and the characters.
The acting was believable, convincing, and touching...
I was pulled in, and didn't want to miss a bit of it. Every word had weight, as much as the unspoken imagery which followed along on the journey.
I loved the warriors, Josephine, and Mavis. "Bug" displayed patience only attained through love, which made me happy that Mavis chose to not be one of the Lightning women who grew old alone.
The music was special. It was haunting and beautiful, fitting the scenes perfectly. I cried at the end, with happiness.
It was a gem of a movie that I stumbled upon by 'accident' - and maybe something I needed - so maybe not by 'accident' after all. Would gladly watch it again. Well worth my time on a Sunday evening, and it was so poignant, I won't forget it anytime soon.
