Review of Soorma

Soorma (2018)
7/10
An inspirational movie with a pinch of fun
14 July 2018
Soorma is based on the real life incidents of Indian Hockey player and ex-captain Sandeep Singh aka Flicker Singh. The movie is fairly enjoyable but it's not as good as was promised by the trailer. It'll entertain you thoroughly during the first half, but, the second half, that includes the most critical part of the story, fails to make the impact that it should have. The script doesn't do justice to the struggle faced by the player in actual life. The actors have done full justification to their characters. Diljit Dosanjh, who is playing the protagonist, has done a great job. He has done full justice to what was demanded by the script. Taapsee Pannu, who is playing the love of the protagonist, did not had much to bring to the table, still, she has done a pretty good job. Angad Bedi, Vijay Raaz and the remaining cast are also fair to their roles.

In short, Soorma is a movie that you can watch and enjoy. It'll surely inspire you but do not expect too much from it.
