Good, but "fake" ads
4 June 2018
This show cuts to commercial break, on Netflix. Sure, they're humorous. Maybe they're not serious. But that's what modern advertisements look like. I don't pay for Netflix to watch ads.

This show is otherwise exactly what you would expect if you watched Michelle Wolf on the Daily Show. It's funny and well written. I just turn turn it off when the fake ads start playing.

Plausibly deniable product placement occurs in shows. But it's plausibly deniable, which means minimally intrusive. Do I like being manipulated by plausibly deniable product placements? No, of course not. But at least they're not cut-scene advertisements.
