The best Quest for Glory installment
15 May 2018
I'd played the first and the third Quest for Glory games in the mid-1990s and didn't play the second until 1997 but this was the one that beat them all. I started playing it in 1995 and never looked back. The game had lots of Russian-styled motifs and dark themes and John Rhys-Davies (of Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings) as the narrator. Some might say it's a remake of the first one but I didn't see it that way. If anything, it's better. And it's easily my favorite of the Quest for Glory saga. A little buggy but the CD-ROM version was the best. And the puzzles were good too. Many voice artists from some of my favorite cartoons also lend their voices to this game. It's also the darkest game I've played. Give this a go when you have the time.
