I believe, like Edward Wayne Edwards' daughter, April, that her father is the Zodiac Killer, and that he may have committed other crimes where he mimicked the Lipstick Murders of 1945 and 1946. He also may have been obsessed with the Black Dahlia murder, but he is not responsible for the Lipstick Murders or the Black Dahlia murder.
If the crime involved cryptic notes or taunting the press, police or families with letters, then Edwards may have been the perpetrator. Or, in the least, he may have tried to frame innocent people for high profile crimes by misleading police with anonymous tips and letters.
John Cameron's intentions are pure but his confirmation bias is clouding his judgement.
I like both John and Wayne. Their relationship is compelling, and the series, "It Was Him," is very well produced.
