The Simpsons: Dogtown (2017)
Season 28, Episode 22

Great, Whacky Simpsons
22 February 2018
Dogtown is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written plot and plenty of hilarious scenes. It is one of those episodes that reminds us that the Simpsons really is a cartoon. Though I do love how grounded in reality the show usually is, I enjoy when they take a more slapstick approach in telling a story as well, and this shows how much the writers have to work with, cause it can go from dealing with serious, real life matters one week, to becoming more like a Looney Tunes cartoon the next, and we will not question it either way.

I did find that, as a season finale, it is a little flat. The finale episode of the season is usually a more momentous twenty minutes, such as last years Orange is the New Yellow, or Season 24's Dangers on a Train, this would have been better off placed in midseason, I feel.

I really enjoyed the fun they had with the dogs in this episode, there are loads of hilarious moments, in particular the montage, that were pleasing to watch and made this stand out over other Simpsons.

Great imagination. Fun and intriguing, Dogtown is a very creative, interesting Simpsons episode.

There's trouble in Springfield when Homer's court case elevates the status of the town's dogs.
