AXE GRINDER is a mildly entertaining - only mildly, mind you - indie horror flick shot on digital video out in the woods. There, the usual bunch of innocents and goofballs are being murdered by a killer in a clown mask, making this feel very much like a CAMP BLOOD sequel. It's cheap and trashy throughout, surprisingly tame on the sex content, but ladling in the gore. Said kill scenes are very gooey and full of over the top sound effects to enhance the spray of blood. Gorehounds will doubtlessly get a kick out of it, although if you're looking for class you'd better check elsewhere.
