Season 5, Episode 10

Interesting idea for an episode, but poorly executed.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode has left me underwhelmed. I did like some of the fight scenes and, as I said, the idea of the episode seemed interesting, however that mentioned idea of the scenes jumping from one to another constantly was so heavy-handed that it made some of the death scenes less emotionally impactful than they should have been and it made the whole battle less intense.

I did not feel anything for the death of Astrid, honestly, since she wasn't a very good character anyways. Also, I am disappointed that Halfdan died, since I liked the character, and he just got killed off by his own brother (this was the only death scene that was emotionally impactful to me). And, all the other deaths were just unimpactful, especially the one of Bjorn's girlfriend.

Floki's storyline raised some questions, but it was incredibly short. However, it is intriguing how he offered himself for sacrifice.

Overall, this episode as a finale was weak and underwhelming and I expected much more from it.
