Race Memories (1913)
The offering did not seem impressive
6 January 2018
A pre-existence picture in which the former life scenes are given as the illusions of a scholar suffering from brain-fever. Yet they are woven into the story as a whole, including what actually happens in the present time world. The heroine is played by Lillian Wiggins; M.O. Penn plays the rich villain and Charles Arling the hero. There are scenes of the dream part of the story set in a forest with wild lions, etc., and they are made to chase the cave-man villain and his party. This scene made a woman in front of this reviewer jump up; but, as a whole, the offering did not seem impressive. The last half reel is very markedly padded. - The Moving Picture World, November 22, 1913
