One of the better episodes. There's a lot more that actually happens than in the previous one, including a breathtaking action scene with Riley and Will. It's so well executed so that Will feels Riley's suffocation as the plastic bag is put over her head. What's not clear is exactly how he is able to break free as her when in her situation that was clearly impossible. It seems like sometimes the Wachowskis try to bend the logic to suit the scenario, in a way that doesn't make much sense. Still, it was an incredible scene to watch.
Equally amazing was the sex scene. While it borders on the pornographic, it's slickly executed and has something for everyone. It reminded me of the fivesome in Hannibal but where that one was creepy this one shows characters around the world experiencing each other's pleasure. Think about that, a globe- spanning sex scene.
Even Lito's storyline becomes more interesting this time, although her shared moments with Lito were a missed opportunity. I can't imagine how funny it would be if Lito had actually exposed his privates at Sun's interviewer's request, then re-emerged in his own place.
A recurring issue with Sense8 is that whenever in one episode one character's story flourishes, another character's story is going through a drag. This time it's Capheus. When he's not sharing his body with another sensate, his story is exposed as the dull thing it is.
Overall better than the pretty bad previous episode, but it's still taking way too long for the sensates' connections to develop...
