Cut and paste ninja mayhem, but the original movie's interesting for once

Warning: Spoilers
NINJA 8: WARRIORS OF FIRE is yet another crazed, half-assed ninja cut and paste concoction from IFD films and director Godfrey Ho, hiding behind his usual Bruce Lambert pseudonym. As per usual, Ho splices together footage from an old movie, this one featuring a female protagonist who is raped by an evil gang and swears revenge, before going undercover in the gambling circuit to bring it about. This film actually looks pretty decent, featuring Shaw Brothers stars Chi Kuan-Chun and Chiang Tao, and it turns out to be a 1981 Taiwanese flick called QUEEN BEE. The newly-shot scenes feature a bunch of western actors dressing up in ninja costumes and fighting in the woods, as always. The quality of the original movie means that this is a bit more enjoyable than the usual Godfrey Ho-quality feature.
