The second series of this show has been on the whole good, with some standout episodes along the way. However, there have been several filler and weaker episodes that mean it has perhaps not been as good as the first.
This episode though highlights just how good the show can be. This episode is not only funny, but features some ridiculously good performances from Malcolm Gets as Richard and Lea Thompson as Caroline. The final scenes are quite surprisingly touching.
The Del and Annie stories are more throwaway, but are both important in terms of the direction the show is going in for its third series.
