Shades of a classic Audie Murphy western and my personal favorite of his films No Name On The Bullet. Broderick Crawford is a bounty hunter in town who has a lot of people nervous with his presence. He's no idealist about law and order just in it for the dough. Among the people who think it might be him and Crawford thinks Trampas might actually have information on whom he is seeking is Doug McClure. There's an old murder warrant out on Trampas, a trumped up charge from years ago in Nebraska, but Trampas is ready to cut out.
Also going on which has people even more concerned is a typhoid epidemic which has Roberta Shore among others sick. The typhoid epidemic and Crawford's hunt intersect and whom he wants is revealed.
Nice performances from the regulars and from Crawford and Arch Johnson who is the doctor fighting the typhoid.
