"The Descendant" is an American 15-minute live action short film written and directed by Robert Glickert. This one's from 2006, so it had its 10th anniversary last year. It is the story of a contract kill and we find out what happens when the two killers find their "victim", a boy. One of them says he would not have joined in had he known about the target person's age and this would certainly have been best for him because things in here are absolutely not what they seem to be. If you take a look at Glickert's body of work, then you will see he worked on some very known films in smaller positions. For this quarter of an hour, he was the man in charge though and I think he did a pretty decent job and I kinda want to see more from him. Same applies for the grown-up lead actor, the one who plays the killer that does not get killed right away, he was pretty convincing. All in all a solid little horror thriller that fans of the genre will definitely enjoy a lot. Also no real lengths yet at this runtime. I give it a thumbs-up and recommend checking it out.
