I was really looking forward to this version of Bernie Madoff's story, mostly because of Robert De Niro. The story is a great material and I still cannot fully comprehend how on earth could he continue his "business" for so long, that no-one has suspected anything, neither his sons, nor his wife or the employees at his company. Life writes the greatest scripts, but in this case the result is a boring, flat story. I expected some explanation, or more insight. But nothing. Just scratching the surface. I could not feel sorry for the victims and could not judge Madoff's actions. Even De Niro could not breathe life into the character. Seriously, watch the 2parts TVmovie with Richard Dreyfuss and Blythe Danner, makes more sense.
