There are elements of fragmentation in the Afghan coalition. Woody is getting bored and paranoid. The one less serious guy in the thing is found in a kelp bed by the ocean shore. He was a natural because he didn't kowtow to his command. Meanwhile, we come to realize more and more why it's hard to work with Bosch. He keeps secrets and hangs out his friends to dry at times, including his current romantic interest. For him, the case is ultimately everything. Things do start to settle in that certain adversarial types are starting to realize how complex this case is. String pullers are getting a bit over confident, rather than letting sleeping dogs lie. J. Edgar continues being loyal although it is with great trust and potential pain.
