3/10
You might be asleep well before night falls...

I was lured by the movie's cover/poster and the fact that it was a horror movie. Admittably, I didn't know anything about the movie or who starred in it prior to finding it. But my love for the horror genre made me pick up "As Night Falls" and give it a chance...

...a chance that I should have skipped on.

"As Night Falls" turned out to be a rather boring and mundane horror movie at best. It failed to really entertain me, and it didn't bring anything new to the horror genre. It felt like it trotted through its storyline blindfolded.

And speaking of the storyline, then it was not really any type of interesting. And I often found my attention to the movie drifting away to my phone for example. I did, however, decide to stay with the movie right to the very end,

If there has just been something to justify this as being a horror movie, it would have been so much better, an improvement for sure. But there wasn't, and it made it feel prolonged to sit through an hour and twenty minutes waiting for something scary to happen.

The acting in "As Night Falls" was as to be expected from a movie such as this, for better or worse. I will say that I am sure that people actually were putting on their best performances.

If you enjoy a good comedy, then you should definitely find something with a lot more kick and bite to it than "As Night Falls". Providing that you actually make it through the first time you watch "As Night Falls", I doubt that you will be returning for a second viewing.

My rating of this movie is a mere 3 out of 10 stars.
