After two separate incidents, Ensign O'Toole (Dean Jones) suggests hypnosis to Lt. St. John (Jack Mullaney) and Chief (Jay C. Flippen), respectively. O'Toole turns Chief from a compulsive gambler to a strict officer cracking down on card playing. O'Toole next talks St. John from girl-obsessed to a to-the-letter regulations man. The two men are behind one another in constantly being hard on the crew. O'Toole gathers the crew for Operation: Snap-out. The episode is fast-moving, but too simplistic in my view and not boosted by enough laughs. The hypnosis was too easy to be believable.
