Mostly Dead (2014)

Indie horror or high school project?
19 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
MOSTLY DEAD is another indie horror film that feels nothing more like a high school project that somehow got mainstream distribution thanks to Amazon Prime. Altogether it's cheap, earnest, and completely unbelievable, another film that lacks the budget to do the premise justice.

The setting is a post-apocalyptic world, more specifically a town overrun by vampires. Not that we see many of them - the majority of this film's running time is about a bunch of boring characters holed up in a single building. You get the impression that it really wants to be dark and edgy along the lines of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, but the end result is just a bunch of people hanging around. There's nothing to see here, in other words.
