The proof of a gay gene in the human makeup is the source of constant debate. On the one hand it proves the validity of the fact that same sex attraction is inherited and proves that Christian fundamentalists don't know what they are talking about. On the other hand with some genetic engineering still years and years in the future we could eliminate it. Not a desirable concept in my opinion since same sex attraction is there for a reason to control the population and it is found in many other animals.
