No fun watching this Spanish trainwreck of a rom-com

Warning: Spoilers
What a pleasure to review this trainwreck of a movie.

This film has a serious problem with self-identification. You would think that this is a movie about an innocent flirt and romance about two not-so-young-anymore protagonists that are both well-likable. He, a slightly dorky writer with a charm most girls will like, and she, a cute bookworm of a girl with no steady job or income, an asshole boyfriend and a dreamy outlook on life.

But wait until 20 minutes in the film, when the screenplay suddenly reveals that he is also a family-man with a kid and a lustful wife. Guess how many times is the kid shown in the movie? Yep, zero! The most irresponsible father in the history of the world, he plays hide and seek with his newly-found infatuation, while revealing a host of mental problems including weird (not in a good way) sexual deviations and a deeply rooted beta male character.

All of this is accompanied by some terrible scripting and forced acting. The comatose screenplay stretches this agony to an hour and a half, and I feely lucky it was not more than that.
